Player health are the hearts in the top middle of the screen. Player rage is the square boxes below health; increase this by killing enemies. The more rage, the more damage done.

It would have been nice to disable page scroll entirely (the page moves when I play with arrow keys)

Doh, just goes to show I should have tested with keys other than wasd after seeing they initially worked and moving on. Thanks for the bug report; it is annoying to see the screen jiggle up and down while playing. Can only recommend using wasd for the best experience then.\nThanks again for the comment.

After that cutscene and the stylized pixelart title screen, I must admit you had my hopes up for a more elaborate art style and gameplay.

Attack controls were pretty hard to use, and I wasn’t expecting touching an enemy to damage me.

I loved the intro and title screen! I wish my sword was two pixels longer; it felt like I had to get a bit uncomfortably close to my enemies; alternately, what if you were allowed to bump into and push around the enemies? or block! and double jump! and throw shuriken! ok ok ok I am such a featurecreep machine, my apologies. nice work! =)

Pretty intro screen, but game is really hard.\nControls are hard, I think there is a small latency between the time I hit and when sword is activated. Enemies should have been killed in one hit, or be stucked for a second after a hit, bacause I’m also hit almost everytime

The art style is way more goofy that I expected.

The game has scrollbars due to a margin in the HTML element, so it keeps scrolling up and down. It’s a bit annoying.

The music seems to have taken a long time to load.

Very cool entry!

I love the downward sword move the best, really lends a good Zelda II vibe to this mini game. Movement was pretty good, but like someone commented the delay after you swing was a bit odd since the enemies didn’t seem to delay on hit either. I used the downward sword on them most of the time.

Boss is pretty challenging too; I should probably build my rage meter up more next time before fighting him!

I liked the look of the game.

Music was good.

\n

I like the whole platformer dynamic, and the feeling of a kind of samurai battle.

The end of level boss was hard, no idea how to hurt them as much as they hurt me. So ended up feeling a bit one sided.
