HTML5 and JavaScript Game Development Competition in just 13 kB

Server Rider VR

Server Rider VR is a short rhytm based VR game in which you are surfing through tubes in cyberspace while trying to keep the connection alive by aiming your controllers at the red and blue lanes.

The game has been successfully tested with Oculus Quest (latest update) and with HTC Vive in Chrome. You need two controllers to play the game (no gaze pointer, sorry).

The MIDI music used was created by t4ngr4m and is licensed under CC BY 4.0: https://opengameart.org/content/50-midi-tunes

The music has been heavily edited to play in my tiny music player which I call tinysequencer.js (Inspired by TinyMusic).

Feedback from the experts

Josh Marinacci: Great concept but very hard. I'd make the first level start off easier. I'd love to see this turned into a full game with improved music.

Fernando Serrano Garcia: Great concept! The overall aesthetics are really cool, with these small details in the background. The game is fun to play, although after a while it feels a bit slow and easy, adding more challenge parts could help a lot to improve the gameplay :) My only concern is that after playing for a while and trying to find the best position for my wrist, they still hurt a bit
